For tablet-loving people as well as the tech-savvy and enthusiasts, I guess you would also want to know about the two new additions to the tablet market. The POV ProTab 2 and the Ematic eGlide Prism. Both of these devices have recently been released but it didn’t really gather much attention considering they have low to mediocre specs but have been offered at very affordable prices. In the due course of this article, I will introduce them to you so you would what these devices are capable of.
POV ProTab 2 Specs & Price
I agree that not all decent devices should come from one of the major and popular manufacturers. While I said that POV ProTab 2 has mediocre specs, I wasn’t lying. Now, let me tell you why. POV ProTab 2 sports a Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz frequency which the Mali-400 graphics processing unit (GPU) is attached. A 1 GB DDR3 random access memory (RAM) has also been added to complement the CPU. Tech-savvy people know exactly these specs alone are more than enough to run a tablet smoother and faster. It is as big as the Apple’s New iPad with 9.7 inches IPS display with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. And it supports 32 GB microSD cards. The reason why I said it belongs to the devices with mediocre specs is because the benchmark of today’s tablets has been raised considerably. It’s offered for €393 or around US$517.
Ematic eGlide Prism Specs & Price
Ematic eGlide Prism apparently belongs to the entry-level market and it is offered for just $157.16 from the original $216. eGlide Prism has a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz and a 512 MB RAM. These two components would tell you this device could complete in the mid-level market but it would excel more in the entry-level. And considering it’s cheaper than the ones from major manufacturers, there is a great probability that it will received good feedback from technical people should it receive the attention it needs to shine. It sports a 7-inch WVGA display and just 8 GB of internal storage but has a microSD slot if you decide to upgrade.
The good thing about these two devices is that they come with Android 4.0 ICS pre-installed. So, owners will not have to worry about the update soon. Just by looking at the specs, we know for a fact these devices have all the muscles they need to run ICS normally and smooth and we know that they can offer good services for us. Now, there are some conflicting reports about these two devices but we are proud to say we can all our information correct.
