Nokia brand has recently become controversial after it laid off a huge percentage of its employees. However, there’s good news for people who have been waiting for the Lumia 710 as the Dark Knight Rises Nokia Lumia 710 was announced and that T-Mobile would be the first operator to offer it to the American citizens. There are reports that the network would be the exclusive distributor of this themed smartphone, although there has never been a confirmation about that. So, for now, we could think that themed Lumia 710 might be offered by other operators in the United States (US).
Actually, this is not the first time that Nokia offered a themed model. In fact, to make the sales of both Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 higher, the Finnish smart phone manufacturer released months ago the limited edition of its newest Windows Phone handsets. So, there have already been Dark Knight Rises Lumia 800 and Lumia 900. The upcoming release of a much cheaper model with the same theme would be just another marketing stunt to promote its better products. But apparently, the company would want to bring its finest products to people who couldn’t and wouldn’t buy the more expensive models.
If you are one of the people who might want to have a themed Nokia smart phone, you might want to visit T-Mobile stores to pick up one unit for free. Yes, that’s right. T-Mobile will be offering this themed smart phone for free but with a contract, of course. Both Nokia and T-Mobile target old and new Lumia 710 users. Not only the companies offer brand new units with themes already installed, Xpress-on covers offered in five different colors (Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, Black, and White) are ready for pick up. Basically, as what everybody expects, Lumia 710 will be given cooler and sleeker covers with special Batman logo but it still has the same specs and power.
In the official Dark Knight Rises Nokia Lumia 710 page on Nokia’s website, it was stated there that there is an exclusive app offered for free that owners can download to give their devices good-looking user interface. The said Nokia app can be download from Windows Marketplace using any Lumia device. While it leaves us to think it is a special app for the phone, it’s not. It is actually an app that would promote the Dark Knight Rises movie. Using the app, you could locate theaters, stream contents, use a premier countdown clock and check-in rewards game.
For Batman fanatics, This smartphone could be a perfect option for you especially if you already have a Lumia 710 or not planning to purchase the more expensive models which were recently released. Nokia Lumia 710 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with built-in Adreno 205 graphics processor. As much as it can stand up on its own, both Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 are overshadowing it. In fact, it is now considered as the “cheaper” version of the new Nokia flagship. Nokia could have seen a lot of potential from this device that it has to promote it using the Dark Knight Rises theme.
