It was last week that the folks behind the development of CyanogenMod 9 had released a couple of nightly builds for the Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. Well, we were quite expecting that they would release more ‘nightlies’ but they did experience some problems with their servers and eventually sought for help from the CM9-loving masses. And yes, their funding request turned into great success! Today, we are pleased to tell you that CyanogenMod has officially released their nightly builds for the following smartphones and tablets.
The first is for the Wi-Fi and I/O Edition of Samsung’s famed Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. You can, in fact, download the CyanogenMod 9 nightly build for the slate at this link while the build for the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 SGH-T859 can be downloaded at this link. As for those who are quite loyal to their Samsung Galaxy S II, allow us to tell you that those with international versions can finally taste the customized version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich a ’la CM9 at this link. Just a word of warning for those with carrier-specific phones in the U.S., you might as well skip this build and wait for the official CM9 build for carrier-specific Galaxy S2 handsets.
But wait. We’re not done yet. We also have some goodies for those with Asus tablets. Yes, we know that the firmware of the Asus Transformer Prime has already been upgraded to Android ICS but you might as well try the CyanogenMod 9 nightly build for this ever-powerful quad core tablet. The CM9 nightly source file for the Transformer Prime TF201 can be downloaded at this link. As for those with Asus Transformer tablets, you’ll also get your fair share of sweetness. The CyanogenMod 9 nightly build for the TF101 can be downloaded at this link.
But before you go flashing, it is a ‘must’ for you to be aware of the possible risks and damages.
